Tokio Hotel is one of the most successful German bands of the 2000s and has been delighting fans around the world for over two decades. The group was founded in Magdeburg in 2001 and celebrated its breakthrough in 2005 with "Durch den Monsun" . Since then, the band has continued to develop - from a teen rock band to an experimental pop-rock group with international success.

The Beginnings: “Through the Monsoon” and the Big Breakthrough

Tokio Hotel consists of Bill Kaulitz (vocals), Tom Kaulitz (guitar), Georg Listing (bass) and Gustav Schäfer (drums) . Their debut album "Schrei" conquered the charts in 2005. The single "Durch den Monsun" became a hit and made Tokio Hotel one of the most famous music acts in Germany.

With their catchy melodies, emotional lyrics and unique style, they won millions of fans - the "Tokio Hotel Army" . Within a few months, they became the biggest teen sensation of the decade.

International success and stylistic development

After their success in Germany, their international breakthrough followed in 2007. Their English-language album “Scream” and hits such as “Ready, Set, Go!” and the English version of “Durch den Monsun” – “Monsoon” – conquered the charts in Europe, the USA and Asia.

Over the years, their musical style changed: while early songs were still characterized by rock elements, Tokio Hotel increasingly relied on electronic influences in later albums such as "Kings of Suburbia" (2014) and "Dream Machine" (2017) . This development underlines their creative versatility.

Tokio Hotel live: Unforgettable concerts in the TonHalle München

Tokio Hotel have played several times at the TonHalle München and thrilled their fans with energetic performances. On March 31, 2017, they performed at the TonHalle as part of their "Dream Machine Tour" . Another concert took place on May 19, 2019 during the "Melancholic Paradise Tour" . These performances offered fans the opportunity to experience both classics and new songs live and to follow the band's development up close.

With their constant development and loyal fan base, Tokio Hotel remains one of the most influential German bands of the last decades.
