The Beginnings and the Big Breakthrough
The story of Sunrise Avenue begins in 2002 in Helsinki. Singer and guitarist Samu Haber founded the band with the aim of combining rock music with pop elements. After several years of hard work and numerous demos, they achieved their breakthrough in 2006 with the album On The Way To Wonderland . The single Fairytale Gone Bad in particular became an international hit and catapulted the band into the charts.
chart success and worldwide fame
After the sensational success of the debut album, further records followed such as Popgasm (2009), Out of Style (2011) and Unholy Ground (2013), which made the band famous worldwide. Songs such as Hollywood Hills and I Don't Dance became real catchy tunes and secured the band gold and platinum awards.

Farewell with a big tour
In 2020, Sunrise Avenue caused a big surprise: the band announced their breakup. Samu Haber explained that it was time to take new paths. As a farewell, the band announced a big farewell tour, which had to be postponed several times due to the pandemic. In 2022, the emotional farewell concert finally took place in the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki, where the band said goodbye to their fans with a spectacular show.
